About > Rivurs

The Company

Rivurs is a small multi-media developer founded by Synthetic in 2001. The majority of all work has previously been done for private companies or entities. This has ranged from server maintenence, website creation, custom applications, game modding to music and more. This changed however in 2011 when the decision was made to switch from being a service provider into creator of our own branded content.

You have probably already noticed that our web site looks different than most. Perhaps you were expecting something a bit more standard fare from the business world and not a cartoonish appearance? Creativity is something we value and it influences how we operate. Innovation requires a creative mind. While we like to be unique and expressive in our own way, please don't get this confused with a lack of professionalism though. We are dedicated to what we do and the products we offer. Supporting our customers is always a priority.

The Philosophy

Our main goal is focusing on creating fast and efficient software without bloat. There is literally way too much garbage floating around in terms of usability, security, speed and stability when it comes to software. Not to mention private data harvesting, borderline malware installation and all other annoying things that can be considered deceptive. We refuse to walk the same path of those who use the mantra that it doesn't have to be efficient because computers are already fast enough or always getting faster. That is the mark of the lazy and unprofessional. We also refuse to contribute to any form of privacy invasion by selling user data or using deceptive and/or malicious code or practices. You can read our Privacy Policy for full details.

The Outreach

In the past we would take on many outside projects, free or for profit but as mentioned, now we will be focused on our own specific products. If however you are a non-profit organization, we may still consider your request for assistance pro bono. Please feel free to submit a Request.
